Finances - The Hard Part for All of Us

No one is ever ready for an emergency and the financial responsibility that comes with it can often be overwhelming. In non-crisis situations, we will talk with you, examine your pet, and suggest options that aid us in further diagnostics and treatment. If your pet is in a life-threatening crisis, we will ask your permission to undertake immediate emergency care and evaluate your pet while we are doing this. As soon as we know more about what is happening and your pet's prognosis, we will talk with you and give you our recommendations, your options, and an estimate for your pet's healthcare plan.

An estimate is the best prediction of costs we are able to make of the situation at that time. It is often made without the benefit of diagnostic tests and more intensive evaluation. The situation may change as we learn the nature and extent of your pet's illness or injuries.  We do require 75% of the estimate as a deposit for hospitalized patients, and the balance is due at discharge. Payment for all out-patient treatment is due when services are rendered.

At FSAEC, you are in control of your pet's treatment. It is our policy to provide the level of health care that each owner has selected and agreed to. We gladly accept cash, checks, VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover and Care Credit as forms of payment. Payment plans may be arranged by applying at  www.carecredit.com
